My Weight Loss Journey

At 43 I felt stuck. I was putting on weight and no matter what I tried I couldn't get the weight off!

What use to work in the past was no longer working so...… I did what every body does: extreme dieting, intense workouts, calorie counting... I felt exhausted, depressed and hated going to social functions....

And none of it worked.

After years of effort and failed attempts, I finally realized that I needed to figure this out. There has to be a reason for all of this! So I threw myself into endocrinology and clinical nutrition.

I knew I didn’t want to feel this way anymore.

I decided things had to change. That’s when I made my “No Plan B Commitment” to myself.

Staying overweight was not an option. Being unhealthy and shortening my lifespan was not an option. Constantly obsessing about my weight was not an option. I was all in.

So I began to educate myself. One thing I discovered is after the age of 40... 1 in 3 people are insulin resistant!

That's crazy!! 1 in 3!!! So I spent many months studying how insulin resistance affects different ages and different body types, learning what would actually work for me and my patients and why the things I’d tried in the past didn’t work.

I implemented all of the principles I learned from my research....

And I did it: I finally lost the weight for good and felt amazing!!

This was my turning point.

After this, I realized I HAD to help other people who were 40 plus! Its not only hormones... there is a real thing that we need to address so we have more energy, weight loss and better health!
